Social and emotional learning (SEL) has become an integral part of modern education, recognizing the importance of teaching students not only academic subjects but also how to navigate their emotions and relationships As children spend a significant amount of their time in school, it is crucial for educators to prioritize SEL in the classroom to help students develop the necessary skills to succeed in both academic and personal aspects of their lives.
SEL is defined by the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) as the process through which children and adults acquire and effectively apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others social and emotional learning in the classroom.
